I first met Don Warkentin when the Northern Pikes were recording a number of songs in the late 80's at Studio West, at Pike Lake, Saskatchewan. Don was the recording engineer for these sessions, and I was knocked out with his musicality, skills and work ethic (we Pikes worked hard in the studio, and Don's engineering was truly excellent!!!). Our friendship and working relationship has continued to this day - Don's work at Canada Disc was superb - all of my solo albums, and some Pikes albums, were put together and manufactured with Don at the helm - he is a great guy, he does fantastic work, and I look forward to many more projects with him in the future!!!
