The classic. A standard CD jewel case contains a printed insert or booklet and the traycard behind the CD. The disc is mounted on a plastic tray that typically comes in black or clear. This is also available in a 7mm slim version that holds an insert or booklet and the CD.
For those who want to eliminate as much plastic as possible the cardboard sleeve is your best option. These come in 2, 4, 6 and 8 panel configurations. The 3 panel option is shown here. The sleeve is printed on one side of a cardboard sheet then cut out, folded and glued. The various panel configurations can accommodate multi CD or DVD projects plus additional printed paper inserts or booklets.
Offering the best of both worlds, the CD DigiPak combines a cardboard sleeve with a plastic tray similar to a jewel case. This gives the CD spine more visible exposure when placed on a CD shelf and can be ordered in 4, 6 and 8 panel configurations to accommodate multiple discs and additional printed paper inserts or booklets.
